Delays are part of the journey

Today we heard from the dealership that our RV won't be ready until July 22.  Our house has become a holding center for all the supplies and equipment we need for the RV.  A little disappointed but we want the RV fixed right plus it allows us time to get our Honda CR-V prepped for flat towing including a new brake suspension and lighting system as we well as the tow bar. The kids are getting very excited about camping in the RV.  Our oldest, Joseph, is showing us pictures on google of RV's and is asking for "Bus please" and our middle child, Xander has been watching camping episodes of Peppa Pig and asks everyday when we will go camping. Joe and I have decided to book a one night stay on the coast at a KOA campsite as our maiden voyage.  Decided to keep it somewhat local and short in case something goes wrong with the kids and we need to cut the trip short.  Trip officially booked for July 30!

Starting our journey....

After weeks of searching and many disappointments we finally found our new home on the road for our family.  Our family is so blessed to have an opportunity to have adventures together for years to come. Our three children have needs that we need to address and will make some modifications to this RV to make them as happy and safe as possible.  Currently, we are having the dealership replace all the tires, do a bumper to bumper inspection, replace all the awnings and the front driver and passenger windows (due to broken seals). While that is going on, I will be ordering and customizing several items to make this RV work for our lifestyle, starting with a soft gate between the driver area and the back of the RV in case my son gets out of his seat while on the road and tries to run up to his Daddy.  I will be posting pictures as I make things along the way. Can't wait to start our weekend adventures.  To be continued.....
